Submit your post to the nonprofit blog carnival
Step right up, ladies and gents, to the Nonprofit Blog Carnival! (“What’s that,” you say? Click here to find out.)
We Ducks are proud to host the Carnival again this September, and we’ve cooked (fried?) up a topic that we think you’ll enjoy even more than the bumper cars:
Whether you want to raise funds or raise your profile, weaving your communications together across different channels (websites, direct mail, events, social media, and more) is key to making an impact.
So if you’re a reader, sit tight–September’s Carnival will be in town soon, full of tips, examples, and guidelines to help you get those communications toned and tightened. While you’re waiting, whet your appetite for integrated communications by perusing Convio’s recently-released study on this very subject, or check out August’s edition of the Carnival from Kivi Leroux Miller on kooky, quirky, and off-beat ideas for nonprofit communicators.
If you’re a blogger, the fun begins now. Here’s how it works:
- Write up a post with ideas, inspiration, suggestions, stories–anything you like, really, as long as it’s about multi-channel communications. You can also flip through past posts to see if there’s something you’ve written lately that fits the bill.
- Email your permalink to [email protected] or fill out this handy form by Tuesday, 9/27.
- We’ll sift through the many excellent entries and choose the ones that work best with our theme. Posts that are easy to read and were written relatively recently (within the last month or two) are best. Any post mentioning ducks gets special consideration.
- Check back in at the Duck Call on Thursday, 9/29 to see if we’ve included your post.
The Carnival is a great way to drive traffic to your blog, so we hope you’ll submit a post and tell all your friends to do the same.
Race you to the ring toss!
The Carnival is a monthly roundup of posts on different topics relevant to nonprofits. It travels from blog to blog, and each month, the host declares a theme and collects the best posts on that topic from around the web, bringing them all together for your reading and learning pleasure. We’re still working on the funnel cake part.
