Resolve to put your nonprofit’s best foot forward in 2016

If 2016 is the year to improve how your organization communicates, we’ve got three easy ways to help you jumpstart that process. (And no, you don’t have to give up chocolate.)

1. Review and update your profile on Guidestar.org. It’s free, fast, and helps ensure that supporters who really do their homework (and they’re usually the big ones) find accurate, timely information about you. Get started here.

2. Map out your donor communications for the year ASAP. Block out the time to develop or update your strategy, objectives, and calendar of donor communications this month and dazzle your colleagues with your proactive planning chops. If you need help, come to our two-day immersive workshop (plus additional coaching) here at Big Duck on January 21-22. You’ll get everything you need and feel like a rockstar when you get back to the office. Find more details here.

3. Get a brand check-up. You get an annual physical, don’t you? Why not check up on the health of your organization’s brand, too? Sarah Durham is booking appointments in Q1 to help organizations figure out if their brand needs a tune-up. Interested? Email us at [email protected] and we’ll send you the details.

Here’s to a happy, healthy new year!
