Brandraising: The Musical
Last week I received the advance copies of my new (in fact, first!) book “Brandraising: How Nonprofits Raise Visibility and Money Through Smart Communications” (Jossey-Bass). I actually finished writing the book in early 2009, so seeing it in print was strange and wonderful.
Brandraising is an approach to branding and communications for nonprofits of all sizes, and I wrote the book specifically for people who work in nonprofits who have limited marketing capacity. I hope the book will serve as a primer for communications professionals who are trying to boost their skills so they can be more effective on behalf of worthy organizations.
So a few people have been asking me how they can learn more about brandraising. Here’s how:
- Check out the book! We’ll be organizing a few brandraising parties in 2010- if you’d like to be invited, sign up by sending us an email at [email protected] and we’ll keep you posted.
- Read the Duck Pond- Big Duck’s monthly e-news- you can sign up for it at www.bigducknyc.com. In it, we highlight upcoming workshops and webinars, many of which have Brandraising-related content.
Nope- there’s no musical yet- but perhaps we should build the wiki and start working on a score collaboratively? Let me know if you’re game.
