Building responsible AI in mission-driven organizations

Hosted by EvolveDigital NYC26

November 20, 2026 11:40 am–November 20, 2026 12:40 pm

How can nonprofits and public institutions adopt AI without compromising the trust at the heart of their mission?

Farra Trompeter, co-director, moderates a panel with leaders from mission-driven organizations, including the Brennan Center for Justice, the Library of Congress, the New York Public Library, and Smile Train. They will discuss how they’re establishing governance, security, and accountability while using AI to improve content, websites, and digital services.

This panel will explore what responsible adoption looks like in practice – from human oversight and accessibility to accuracy, experimentation, and deciding where AI should and shouldn’t be used.
