Olivia Freire

As Big Duck’s Director of Operations, Olivia partners with the Co-Directors to manage the cooperative’s day-to-day operations. She guides financial stability, oversees human resources, and maintains legal compliance, all while fostering collaboration and efficiency. Olivia thrives on solving the daily puzzles that keep the business running smoothly, bringing her knack for problem-solving to every challenge.

Olivia joined Big Duck in 2019 and her journey at Big Duck has ignited her passion for business operations and effective team collaboration. Before joining Big Duck, Olivia honed her administrative skills in the financial sector, holding various roles in lending, client relationship management, compliance, and operations at banks in Oregon, where she spent her early years before making her way to NYC in 2019.

Olivia has a deep love for all things spreadsheet-related, finding joy in organizing data and creating efficient systems. Outside of work, she is passionate about cooking, constantly experimenting in the kitchen to perfect her bolognese, roast chicken, and tiramisus of all flavors. When she’s not cooking, you might find her enjoying electronic music or catching up with friends at summer patio happy hours.
