Lillie Rice
Former Marketing Coordinator
Lillie supports all marketing and business development efforts at Big Duck. She first entered the nonprofit world as a college student, interning at the Family Defense Center in Chicago, an advocacy organization for families in the child welfare system. Her experience working with their development and communications team taught her the importance of advocacy and justice work.
While completing her concentration in writing at Sarah Lawrence College, Lillie interned at multiple Hearst Media magazines including O, The Oprah Magazine, Seventeen, Women’s Health, and Cosmopolitan. There, she assisted with article research, transcribing, pitching, writing, and editing. Through her coursework, she studied prison reform, prison education, and the disparities within the Chicago Public School system, furthering her interest in the work of social justice nonprofits.
When not at Big Duck, Lillie enjoys finding the best unknown vintage stores, petting dogs on the street, and trying out new Lebanese recipes.
