While managing the team of writers and designers at Big Duck, Claire also acts as lead designer on client work. Claire has collaborated on dozens of major brand overhauls, capital and fundraising campaigns, and much more since joining Big Duck in 2016. In addition to client work, she enjoys speaking and facilitating conversations that provoke new ways of thinking about nonprofit branding and campaigns.

For over a decade, Claire has been crafting compelling communications in the nonprofit sector. Before joining Big Duck, she worked as an independent creative director and designer for nonprofit clients including Urban Green Council, the San Francisco Botanic Garden, and Idealist. Claire started her career working as an in-house designer at both The Public Theater and Shakespeare in the Park (which came with the added perk of experiencing New York’s theater scene) and at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden (from which she departed knowing more than a few Latin botanical terms). Claire is a 2007 graduate of the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.

When she’s not at her computer, Claire’s likely to be found exploring her new hometown of Toronto, or on a canoe trip in the Canadian wilds with her spouse and kids.
