Crafting donor personas to bring in the bucks

Hosted by Association of Fundraising Professionals, Washington, DC Metro Area Chapter (AFP DC) and the Direct Marketing Association of Washington (DMAW)

July 16, 2020 11:15 am–July 16, 2020 12:30 pm

If you want your donors to connect with your organization, what you say, how you say it, and where you show up, your communications must be rooted in your supporter’s needs, motivations, values, and interests. Creating audience personas can help you develop stronger messages and materials based on who your supporters are. This session will provide examples and share how you can craft your own personas to guide audience-centric communications. Join Big Duck’s Chief Growth Officer Farra Trompeter, Senior Strategist Laura Fisher, and Mica Bevington from Humanity & Inclusion in discussing donor personas.

By attending this session participants will learn:

  • What audience personas are—and are not
  • How donor personas can support fundraising and communications
  • How to craft personas for your organization
  • How do reduce bias in persona creation
